June 3, State Meet
What a great finish, Warriors!!!  We have had a long season and to conclude it with a State Title shows how amazing and resilient you are as a team.  So let's recap.  The 4x8 (Key, Zoe, Destiny, Jamie) began the day with a huge PR and the 2nd best time in school history.  In the field events Asia knew that she would need to be ready from the beginning because opening height was 5-0, which she cleared but unfortunately that would be the highest clearance.  Deysha made it really tough on herself in the shot opening with 2 fouls and her 3rd throw not being her best, she failed to make the final.  As we move back to the track events, next up was the trials, 100mH, where Kayland and K'ja made the finals and the 200m Mikeisha also qualified for the finals.  After a 10 minute delay in the 100mH finals we scored 12 points as KJ became a 2-time State Champion and K'ja finished 8th.  Our 4x1 (Kayland, K'ja, Prommyse, Ashley) team finished 4th as we were unable to hold off the other 3 teams.  In the 400m Dejah and Mikeisha both scored placing 9th and 4th respectively.  The 300mH was a pivotal point for us as K'ja and Kennedy finished 3rd and 5th.  Tiler had a great season and wasn't used to running with others so close to her and finished off the podium as well as Jamie in the 3200m.  Mikeisha fought hard added 8 points to our score by finishing runner-up with a PR of 24.06 in the 200m putting us 1 point behind.  Going into the final event, everyone is tired, everyone is hot, the 4x4 is up.  To secure a title all we need to do is finish top 8.  We have a chance at the record and the girls are ready to go, Dejah (57.7), Tiler, (56.6) K'ja (56.4), Mikeisha (57.9), we win, not a meet record but definitely a school record of 3:48.55.  Final score 55-46.

May 2017
May 23, Regionals, Champions!!!
We are in awe of your fighting spirit.  We could have easily given up but as true Warriors you all pulled together and moved on to state.  We are represented in 10 out of 16 events at State, RUN WARRIORS!!!

May 16, Sectionals, Champions!!!
Another win for the Lady Warriors, you are all so amazing and this evening was no exception.  This was a low key night but the lights get brighter over the next two meets.
May 9, Varsity County, Champions!!!
This night the Warriors demonstrated toughness and resilience.  Through all the adversity and heartache the girls came out and competed with the poise, strength and grace.  We were not at full kilter because we still have some athletes injured and not having our full slate of freshman competing, it's amazing for us to still win.  KJ set a new meet record in the hurdles and Mikeisha ran very close to her PR in the 200m.  Prommyse won the long jump and Kennedy won the 300mH with a new PR of 45.44.  Tiler (TT) was another county champion, once again running an impressive 800m race.  Closing the night was a very special team of Dejah, K'ja, Tiler and Mikeisha in the 4x400m.  They set out with 1 goal in mind, get the meet record.  Dejah was led off in 3rd place handing off to K'ja who pulled us to 1st until the last 10m when passed in 2nd place but Tiler quickly moved us back to first and continued to extend the lead, handing off to Mikeisha who closed very well as she was watching the scoreboard down the homestretch to secure a new meet record.  What an awesome race and even more amazing to hear the crowd cheer for our girls.  RUN WARRIORS!!!
May 6, Freshman County,  CANCELLED
This was really unfortunante because, Saturday was a nice day.
May 4, Warren Relays, CANCELLED
We will still have practice and senior night in the fieldhouse at 5:15pm
May 2, MIC Championship, CHAMPIONS!!!
Rescheduled from last Friday, the girls cam out and did a tremendous job in less than ideal track weather.  At the end of the night we won 8 out of 16 events and scored 140 points.  100mH (Kayland), 300mH (K'ja), 800m (Tiler), 4x1 (Kennedy, K'ja, Prommyse, Kayland), 4x4 (Keytorria, Kennedy, K'ja, Tiler), High Jump (Asia), Long Jump (Prommyse), Shot Put (Deysha).  Conference title is a big honor and we saw some girls really step up and shine.

April 20, PHYSICAL NIGHT $20, Warren Central High School.

April 18,  Nice evening but again another windy day.  Kennedy moved up on the leader board in the 100mH.  Dayja ran a great race and turned in a season PR in the 800m and Laurine continues to improve with each race.  Tyra moved her PR to 38 feet in the shot.  Of course the highlight of the evening was Tiler Tyler with a PR and running the 2nd fasted time in the state of 2:15.82 all by herself, she is the real deal!!!

April 15, HSE Relays
We really demonstrated our depth and versatility today as we scored 139 points.  We are showing that we are a well-rounded team and are capable of scoring in more than just sprinting events.  Some outstanding performances were turned in by Tiler in the 400m (57.06), Miracle in her 400 split on the DMR (58.9), 4x1 (KJ, Ashley, Imani, Mikeisha, 47.64), Zoe S in her 800 split on the DMR (2:26.9), Jamie with an impressive DMR mile and open 1600m double.  We were told how our girls are such a class act as a result of how they conducted themselves after having been impeded by an event worker in the 4x100mH race (Asia, K'ja, Kennedy, KJ).  They came very close to breaking the meet record on their 2nd go-round, after being given the opportunity to rerun the race.  Our 4x200 (Prommyse, K'ja, Ashley, Mikeisha) placed first with a very strong anchor leg from Mikeisha of 23.80.  In what we are going to call our staple event, the 4x4, we finished the afternoon with another win.
April 13, Emerging Elite
Another great day to get better and the Warriors took full advantage of the opportunity.  Mikeisha met the 3 participant standard in the 400m and K'ja move back to the #1 spot in the 300m hurdles after being bumped to number 2 last week.  Destiny had a big break through in the 800m and out Freshman class continues to impress the coaches.  Sorry I didn't get a photo this meet, girls please remind Coach to take a photo after warm-up.
April 7 - 8th, Jeffersonville
Friday we traveled to Jeffersonville to compete for 2 days.  Friday night in the cold and wind, we were still posting top times.  Saturday was a new day with the sun shining bright and warmer temperatures.  Champions were Kayland (100mH), Tiler (400m), Ashley (100m), Jamie (3200), Deysha (Shot/Discus), K'ja (300mH), Mya (Long/High Jump) 4x1 (Kayland, K'ja, Prommyse, Ashley), 4x4 (Key, Ashley, K'ja, Tiler), SMR (Dorionna, Kasee, Tiler, Miracle).  We also had a lot of PR's set by Mary, Dayja, Laurine, Mekayla, Laura, Zola, Zoe and Katie. We are so proud of how our girls conduct themselves away from home, they represent us well.  Tiler moved up to #3 on the best in the state and K'ja move to the #1 spot.

April 4, Dual vs Lawrence North
First outdoor meet of the season.  Though it was a little chilly we were still able to produce some solid performances.  Every meet keep focusing on getting better. Kayland ran a state leading time of 14.51 and Mikeisha won the 100m with a PR of 12.16.
Athlete of the Meet:  Tiler Tyler, who ran 2:17.07 in the

March 17, DePauw, last chance meet to move up on the list and we had Asia move up and jump 5-2 and Tyra threw 37-8 in the shot.  Another great day, on to state!!!
March 15, UIndy, One of the last qualifiers for the season brought more PR's for some of our girls.  We have just over 1 week until the top 24 girls in the state, in each event meet-up at Indiana University.  Are we ready?  Only time will tell, but K'ja and Kayland both ran PR's in the 60m hurdles and Destiny ran an indoor PR in the 4x800.   Dorionna stepped up at the last minute and ran her first 60m dash in 8.41 while another top PR came from Kasee on her 4x400 split running 1:02.7.  Keep working hard!!!

March 11, UIndy, PR's just keep coming as we see 2 from our shot putters, Aaliyah and Erica.

March 8th, Wow, way to go girls, after having to endure traffic on the way to the meet and arriving 10 minutes before start time; you competed with style and grace.  PR's came in the 60m from Kasee and Imani.  Our 4x8 team did well but we can still improve on keeping consistent 200m splits.  Our young 4x200m team, yet again posted a top 10 mark in the state of Taylor, Dorionna, Kasee and Imani who split 25.7 to anchor the team.  The 4x400 team concluded the evening on the track with a strong 2nd place finish and everyone running indoor season PR's (Makayla R (1:05), Kennedy (1:00.6), Taylor (1:04.6) and Zoe (1:04.8). Our only field event of the evening was the Shot and we finished 1-2, Deysha with the win and Tyra was 2nd throwing another PR of 36-9.
Athlete of the meet: Imani Barnes the event.
March 4, UIndy
Another good day for the Warriors.  Pieces are coming together but we still have a ways to go.  Very proud of our young group of girls.  Our 4x200 team of 3 freshman and 1 sophomore (Dorionna, Kasee, Darriana, Imani) who did an excellent job. Asia and Maray displayed mental toughness as they improved their high jump marks from Thursday, something that's very hard to do.  Kayland showed consistency in the hurdles while our 4x8 team (Zola Lamothe, Zoe Sullivan, Dayja Gant and Laurine Frietag) also showed a lot of promise.  Keep working everyday and also take away something positive to improve upon.
March 2, MIC

Good night for the Warriors winning 127-95 over a strong Carmel team.  Though the night started very slow with a timing malfunction we came on strong in the end.  Early in the evening, in the dashes Kayland and Kennedy (PR 9.33) finished 1-3 in the hurdles while Ashley and Dejah (PR 7.87) went 2-3 in the 60m.  At the same time in the field events Deysha and Tyra finished 1-5, with Tyra throwing a PR over 36 feet.  Asia showed consistency in the HJ at 5-0 and our freshman Darriana finished 4th in the long jump.  As we moved to the relays for the evening our 4x8 finish 2nd behind a strong Carmel team with Tiler splitting a PR of 2:21 on her 800m leg.  Our 4x2 and 4x4 put in two strong performances and the DMR team (Destiny, Darriana, Laura and Jamie) concluded the evening with a 3rd place finish. Very proud of our freshman (Imani and Darriana) as they stepped up and competed when called upon at the last minute.
